Closing costs may include appraisal fees, tax service provider fees, title insurance, government taxes, and prepaid expenses such as property taxes, homeowner insurance, and interest. The Homefront Initiative provides up to a $500 discount on mortgage lender fees through credits, along with additional credits.
The third option is discount assistance for refinancing, which includes mortgage lender fees such as application fees, appraisal fees, attorney fees, and title search and insurance. These fees can range from 2% to 6% of the loan balance. The Homefront Initiative offers up to a $500 discount on mortgage lender fees through credits.
